BioSB 2025 Conference Experience

At the 2025 BioSB conference, I met many fascinating people and attended some truly inspiring talks. It was a fantastic opportunity to present my work on Migenpro, a Python package I developed for creating bioprospecting models.

Technical demo

I demonstrated how Migenpro can be used to predict microbial traits from genome sequences, which sparked some great discussions. Bioprospecting is about discovering valuable genetic and biochemical resources from genomes, and it has potential for pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and environmental applications where novel compounds and pathways could be exploited.
