Building an innovative grow box for cultivating mushrooms using water-based humidity control

Project Overview

I've worked on a similar project in the past, and I'm looking to set it up again. This time, I'm aiming to use a system similar to the one shown in this high-tech grow box. However, I plan to modify it by using stagnant water and a fan to maintain optimal humidity, eliminating the need for a separate humidifier.

The Process

Step 1: Inoculation

Inoculate a bag of cooked and sterilized rice with red oyster mushrooms and let it grow.

Step 2: Spawn Transfer

Use this bag as spawn and spread it over the fruiting chamber where the following construction comes in.

Step 3: Environmental Control

Maintain temperature and humidity to let the fruiting bodies develop.

Step 4: Harvest

Pull multiple batches out of this and enjoy eating red oyster mushrooms.
